“In Our Talons” is an odd song, lilting and off-kilter but irresistible. I have to admit, some of the other tracks I’ve heard from the Bowerbirds are a bit slow for me, but there’s no doubting their potential. With a bit more energy and tempo, they’re a band to watch. “Dark Horse,” streaming on the band’s site, is another solid track.
