I’m From Barcelona

posted by Patrick on August 4, 2008

My general rule is that any song that starts with sounds–i.e. “na na na”–rather than words is either going to be awful or great. For a while, I couldn’t decide which camp “We’re From Barcelona” fell into, but I eventually went with the latter. (That’s “great” for those who can’t keep their Latters and Formers straight). If you disagree, at least you’ll only have to wait 3 minutes to do it; apparently the theme (“we’re Spanish and happy!”) couldn’t carry much more. (Particularly when you’re not actually from Barcelona. They’re happy, yes, but not Spanish).

This is such a happy indie-pop song, only someone who doesn’t like to dance around like a little kid could rate it a 2…I mean it at least deserves a 4…THEY’RE NOT FROM BARCELONA PEOPLE!
