It’s a simple song—and an oldie to boot—but Put Us Back Together Right tugs at something in me. At one level, it’s the story of just another indie band, playing yet another set in some nameless town, trying to leave the crowd on its feet for one more night. But there’s something darker and yet hopeful under the headline, and that’s the part I really love. Headlights has been around forever (in indie rock terms, which means about four years) and has two albums and an EP to their name. The second track, TV, is also from the band’s debut album Kill Them With Kindness.
