Another band anticipated to play ACL again this year is the great Austin band, What Made Milwaukee Famous. I first heard about them on the Austin radio show, The Next Big Thing three or four years ago, and since then, they have only gotten bigger. Their sound is like a young, less drug induced Of Montreal: electronic back beats with simple yet hooky guitar licks. Tame and smooth vocals round out the of the music, and their poppy, smart sound can make any cynic a little happier.
They are a staple of the Austin music scene, and are starting to make it nationally and even internationally. Make Austin proud! They play Friday at 1:30 on the AT&T Blue Room stage. Enjoy!!
