Sydney Wayser

posted by Leigh on January 8, 2009

“Papa Don’t Worry,” like most tracks from Sydney Wayser’s first album “Silent Parade,” is the perfect addition to any playlist for introspective days. When all you want to do is hear the sad, dark and melancholy story of someone else, give this track a listen. A lonely harmonica sets the initial tone of the song, while Sydney’s piano soon joins and pulses like the heartbeat of a lost soul. Sydney’s lyrical voice magically brings all of the sounds together into a whispering melody.

Whatever your mood, the live show will enrapture you with the multitude of instruments played by both Sydney and her talented band: acoustic and electric guitars, drums and other percussion, an upright bass and an extensive section of bells, chimes and other unidentifiable toys that add a playful element to the show’s atmosphere. Even if you aren’t in the mood for mellow music, you’ll enjoy playing guess-that-instrument with your friends.
