If you ever need a pick-me up to get yourself moving, just put on the disco-fied Friendly Fires. The boys from the UK are mixing it up with a 70’s sound infused with the indie dance pop of the 00’s. Add some cowbells (more, please!), catchy hooks, great beats and fun, simple lyrics like “I close my eyes on the dancefloor” from “Skeleton Boy” and you’ll be dancing along in no time. Their catchy singles “Paris” and “Jump In the Pool” are blanketing the indie clubs and airwaves. Just don’t blame me when you can’t get them out of your head and you realize that you’ve been hearing them forever now.
