The Duke Spirit
How often do you hear a band that can carry a fantastic rhythm that makes you move, and a woman’s subtle voice that isn’t screaming but singing? In my experience, not that often. I search and search for bands with great female leads, with few results. Today, though, I stumbled upon “The Duke Spirit.” The name behind the voice? Liela Moss. Not only does she have this amazing voice, but she also plays a mean harmonica. Who knew this British Bombshell could also rock out? This is the type of band you can’t wait to see live. A band that makes you want to buy the T-shirt at the show because you loved them that much. How and when can you see them live you ask? Well…if your in Brooklyn, New York you can catch them February 16th at The Music Hall of Williamsburg. If you’re not in New York, well you’ll have to wait. They’ll get to Your Town, U.S.A. eventually. And it will be well worth the wait.
