The Lemurs

The Lemurs show a unique versatility with their new EP, “A Million Little Bits.” The Texas six-piece present a wide range of sounds and styles over a span of five tracks; quite impressive really. My two personal favorite tunes, “Nina” and “Blackspot”, are bound to leave you wanting more. They both have that “swell factor” with glorious harmonies and complex layers of instrumentation that form goose bumps when fully appreciated. These guys know how to write songs interesting enough that you could put them on repeat and hear something that you missed the time before; trust me, I know from experience. The band’s blend of catchy hooks, hand-clapped beats (which I’ve always been a sucker for), and vocals that seem to channel both Muse’s Matt Bellamy and The Cure’s Robert Smith, present a rock/pop/progressive fusion that is sure to impress fans of any genre. The Lemurs’ self-proclaimed Indie Rock style produces a unique and sursprising sound, making for a fulfilling and interesting listening experience.
