Hot Little Hands

posted by Patrick on April 20, 2009

[Note: Every once in a while (when we're too tired to post), we reach back into the archives for a band too many people missed the first time around. This month, it's Hot Little Hands. No word on a new album, but 'Scene of the Crime' should keep you sated and nodding along for a few days at least]

Just when you think you have Hot Little Hands all figured out — standard synth band, programmed drums, etc. — they go batshit crazy. First, they slow things down to lounge-singer speed, then thow in some (synth) horns, a Mick Jagger scream, and a few Space Invaders sounds effects for good measure. And then the track ends, suddenly, leaving you wondering what in God’s name just happened. A bunch of Australian kids with Wurlitzers just happened, and their eclectic, electric sound guarantees you’ll hear from them again. I highly recommend checking out their myspace.
