From Pompano Beach, Florida, comes The Postmarks. I easily get caught up in this band. Tim Yehezkely’s voice has got me hook, line, and sinker. When I first heard her voice, I had to stop short of whatever it was I was thinking about or doing. And she has the same effect on a crowd. First you stop and then you listen. Jonathan Wilkins discovered Tim while DJ-ing at a club in Palm Beach, Fl. The club had open-mic nights and when Jonathan heard Tim and saw the reaction of the usually wild crowd, he decided to approach her afterwords. Oh did I mention that Tim Yehezkely is a woman? How can a band go wrong with a woman with a man’s name fronting it? Born in Tel-Aviv, Tim Yehezkely (don’t hurt yourself trying to pronounce it) digs deep to come out with lyrics and music that will capture the crowd. Tim spent most of her time writing this latest album in a friend’s tree house. Check out the inspiration that childhood brings back to her, and then maybe try it out on yourself and see what projects you come up with. Their latest album “Memoirs at The End of the World” released this past August of 2009, promises nothing but greatness to the Indie music world. Check their tour schedule on myspace to make sure you don’t miss them.

Well put, sir, well put. I’ll certainly make note of that.
