No time for love, Dr. Jones, and no time for long-winded artistic description either. Instead, I give you Sambassadeur, a Swedish four-piece composed of Anna Persson, Daniel Permbo, Joachim Läckberg, and Daniel Tolergård. Yes, I did include their names just because I love those little symbols above the “a”. What of it?
Sambassadeur came to me courtesy of my left-coast friend and photographer extraordinaire Maria, who sends me monthly mixes of indie goodness. The track she picked, ‘Final Say’ is breathy, catchy, and propulsive. ‘Days,’ from the new album, is less 80′s-glam and more 70′s folk. Same big, full sound, but different.
