Acid House Kings

Sometimes its ok to go back a few years and listen to a band you may have missed. Acid House Kings last album was released in 2005 and they tend to go with the pattern of a new release every five years. With influences such as The Smiths and some 70’s vibe with full on tambourine and clapping in the music, Acid House Kings brings Indie Pop to full force in Sweden. The band consists of two brothers Johan and Niklas Angergard, Julia Lannerheim and Joakim Odlund. It’s just the type of music you can listen to and “sing along” with. How appropriate for their last album title to be called ‘Sing Along with Acid House Kings” because that’s just what you want to do. “Do What You Want To Do” will have you wanting to listen to it over and over again and never get tired of it. “Sunday Morning” is just a soothing release to the end of a bad day. Acid House Kings takes a different approach to the Indie Music world and to me that makes them a “worth listening to” band. Rumor had it that there might have been a new album release this year to break their five year pattern but no date yet for a release.I expect nothing short of that same unique sound in their next project though so keep an eye out for anything new. I know I will.
