Not often does a band come along that affects you in every imaginable way. From the sounds of the guitar riffs, to the drum beats of Leah Shapiro, to the voices and lyrics of a talented Peter Hayes and Robert Levon Been. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club brings you cutting edge that separates this band from the rest, Being one of their most loyal fans, I have to admit, I was a little bit worried when their original drummer left the band to do his own thing. Stepping in to carry the torch, came Leah Shapiro (The Ravonettes) and she did not disappoint. Proof of that was their tour of their last CD Baby 81. Leah took to the band like she had been with them since they started.
*Now, two years later, BRMC has come out with a new CD titled “Beat The Devil’s Tattoo”. Sometimes you worry about a new CD release by your favorite band. Will it sound completely different? Will you be disappointed? Not here. Keeping to their original rock hard sound and what pulled me in from the beginning, is what you get. I hope you enjoy the new music as much as I do.
